It’s officially Summer! (In my head) So I thought it time to get rid of my old, worn out Primark trainers, since I practically wear them everywhere. They’re so dirty even putting them in the wash didn’t work! I didn’t think it would be so hard to part with them… then, I had an idea…
WATERMELONS
(obviously)
This is the result of my DIY way of making old shoes look like new! 🙂
Take an old pair of scruffy shoe (or new ones if you prefer)
Using plain acrylic/ fabric paint. Draw a green semi-circle around the heel and toe of the shoe.
Now paint a second semi-circle in white.
Two coats may be needed for the white to make it prominent.
Colour the centre in red.
Try to make both shoes as even as possible
Then, using a very small brush, paint the black seeds, from the centre spanning out.
Don’t forget the heels!
Give them a real good scrub and Bob’s your Uncle! Pretty summer shoes, perfect for watermelon weather.
Clever huh!
xox Much love Holly xox
This is such a cute and clever DIY! 😀
